He was the son of a Puerto Rican seaman. He was self-educated and spent much of his childhood in Brazil singing on the streets to raise money for food. He became an actor after having been a circus performer, radio actor, and vaudeville performer. He worked in the chorus of the 1927 stage production of the musical "Show Boat". Zaiter was already a known children's entertainment figure and a renowned diver when she suffered a life changing accident around 1976. During the 60s & 70s, her fame rose, as she went on to record many well selling children's albums and to have a daily television show on Channel 7 Rikavision. This show went on to last until that channel closed its doors temporarily. She also became a speaker for the MDA and she became an important propulsor of the association's telemarathons there.

He was the National League's Most Valuable Player in 1966 and was voted MVP of the 1971 World Series in which the Pirates defeated the Baltimore Orioles. He was killed in a mission-of-mercy plane crash while attempting to deliver supplies to earthquake-stricken Nicaragua. Clemente was inducted into baseball's Hall of Fame in 1973, only the second player to have had the required five-year waiting period before being eligible waived.

- A major Puerto Rican actor and television producer, Luis Vigoreaux helped revolutionized Puerto Rican television. A product of the first generation of Puerto Rican actors to appear on television, Vigoreaux became a staple to island audiences every week. In 1958, he met future wife, actress Lydia Echevarria and soon they were married. After years of marriage, their marriage was headed to the rocks. On his way to work in January 1983, Vigoreaux's car disappeared and he was reported missing. He was found murdered in the trunk of his car. After investigations, police concluded that his wife, Lydia, hired two hitmen to kill her husband. She was found guilty of murder and faced life in prison. In 2000, Governor Pedro Rosselló released Echevarria amidst a lot of protests. She claims her innocence to this date.

Born in London in 1938 and educated at Oxford University. Entered industry in 1961 and joined CMA (now ICM Partners) in 1966. In 1972 became head of production MGM (Europe) and produced The Terrorists (1974) with Sean Connery in 1975.
Relocated to USA in 1978 and in 1980, rejoined ICM Partners as executive vice-president and head of international department. In 1996 re-entered production. He has lectured at many film schools, given seminars etc. etc. And he has broadcast with Jim Svejda a number of indecently eccentric programs of classical music.

An activist in favor of Puerto Rico's independence, Reyes was one of that island's top poets and a literary legend. Born in the town of Ciales, Reyes became involved in the independence movement as a teen, after witnessing the grave injustices the new U.S. territorial government were doing in the name of progress. As an editor/columnist of "Claridad," the newspaper produced by the Puerto Rican Independence Party (PIP), Reyes provided his viewpoints on the colonialism of his country. As an author of several books of poetry, Reyes was seen as one of the top poets in the island's history, ranking with local natives Julia de Burgos and Luis Lloren Torres in his gravitude and style. His only film role was in the Puerto Rican film. "Linda Sara" produced and directed by fellow "independista" Jacobo Morales.
